Halo 6 in 4K 60fps would be amazing.
This and HTC Vive VR is making me seriously think about putting together a hardcore gaming PC later this year.
@Death. When considering future products manufacturers have to think years ahead. Sony have been working on PSVR since 2009. The prototype Oculus was put together in 2011, Steam started researching VR over 5 years ago. New hardware requires investment and foresight. What Phil Spencer's quote reveals is that Microsoft did not have any plan for VR as a product for the Xbox One. Now that 2016 is going to be the big debut of VR as a consumer product and there is a lot of hype no respectable h...
He's changed his tune. "I don't think VR is a now thing. I'm not saying it's five years from now, but it's not really a now now thing."

Games being forward compatible is excellent for gamers. It means your Xbox 360 games will play on the Xbox One, and your Xbox One games will play on the Next Xbox.
All future consoles should have backwards compatibility so people don't lose the library of games they have paid for.
Phil Spencer said "the number of people that in the last 30 days have engaged with an Xbox Live game on Xbox One, Windows, or Xbox 360."
This means users of the Xbox app on Windows 8 &10 and on Windows phone are also included. Windows of course has a monopoly on home computing and business computers so lumping their Monthly Active users with Xbox One figures will present a skewed view of the platform's success.
This is why Microsoft slapped 1 week NDAs on people who attended their event, so Microsoft could use strict contracts to control their message. This is why it is important for 'journalists' to grow up and start being journalists and not report spin as news.
The reason, the only reason, Microsoft is not reporting sales figures is because they are underperforming. This article demonstrates why gamers have lost their trust in the media.
@lvl_headed_gmr. That's not correct, there are many people who refer to the Xbox One as Xbone who are owners and fans of the console. Check out GAF and you'll see many members use the name and also have a very high gamer score.
The reality is that whilst the Xbone label started of as a pejorative name (started by an Xbox site on the day of the XBO reveal) it has become a popular nickname as it's shorter to say than 'Xbox One.'
Yes there a...
On this issue there is no reason not to believe Microsoft. They will fix all these issues and a Windows 10 PC will ironically be one of the best places to play Xbox games.
When a professional console hardware and software reviewer can't even spell Dual Shock (sic) correctly then you know PlayStation products will not get quite the balanced review that is a expected.
Xbox VR ?
We have to ask why Microsoft didn't live broadcast the event? This might have been because what they were showing doesn't translate well to audiences at home, such as VR. Or it was something unusual so the 'journalists' had to sign NDAs that limit what they say, and so the product or service is explained to them so they become evangelist.
We will see...
What did I just read?
I don't want to get to deep into her opinions but her view that 'consuming' this illegal content doesn't do any harm is so wrong, it creates the customers so abusers create more content to meet the demand.
I'm also sad to see her tie it in with anime. There is a place for intelligent discussion of social norms, without panic, but I disagree with her actually promoting paedophilia.
I guess I have a st...
Shahid Ahmad, well said.
Talk about reaching and trying to make a scandal out of nothing!
I came here wondering if Naughty Dog had stolen art assets from Assassin's Creed and used them in Uncharted 4... but it was nothing of the sort! This is all about a trailer featuring a painting that the art is from AC4. This might have been put there as a place-holder and left in by accident or as an Easter Egg because sometimes studios want to show respect to another game studio.
But this ...
More likely Nintendo will not want to give their NX Dec kits (and spec secrets) to an indie developer who is especially close to Microsoft, who is one of their competitors!
$1.5 mil is nothing compared to the saved wealth of Microsoft. Considering micro transactions are mostly unwanted by Halo 5 players it makes you wonder what was the benefit in putting them in.
Not everybody will like the content of this game, but if you believe in democracy then a vocal group of people's preferences shouldn't restrict it's availability to the public.
I know someone with a high spec PC. He is praying Gears comes to Windows 10 so he can play Gears of War 4 in 4k 60fps.
@Back-to-Back said "Not to mention playing on a screen as small as my dick."
So you have an iPhone 4 then? ;)
I'm guessing this will definitely be the update that brings compatibility with the Windows 10 version of Quantum Break...
I don't like deliberately negative articles. This PS4Extreme writer Ben Dukta has a history of spinning stories about PlayStation so they are always negative, it's almost as if he is a stealth Xbox fan!
He is also the guy who gave Assassin's Creed Unity a glowing review and after the public backlash and suspicions of impropriety he lowered his score! I would have thought it better to stand by your convictions - unless there was another reason for the high praise....
